Benefits of Red Ginseng
Korean Red Ginseng
Research on ginseng began with the work of the American scientist Garriques.
In 1854, Garriques isolated a neutral saponin complex from ginseng and named it panaquilin.
Later, in the 1960s, Japanese researchers Shibata and Tanaka (1963, 1966) successfully isolated 12 individual saponin components from Korean ginseng, including ginsenosides. This made it possible to identify the chemica l structures and study the specific physiological functions of each component of ginseng.
